Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI

Location: Springfield, VA or St Louis, MO

Experience: 5 years of experience focusing on providing expertise in the concepts and applications of Geospatial Analysis tradecraft, methodology, and technology. 

Travel: 25 - 30%

 

As a Mid Geospatial Analyst All Purpose SME  – join S2 Analytical Solutions and the customer to facilitate the mission of national security and humanitarian leadership through working to develop GEOINT skillsets at NGA's college.

 

Job Overview:

Instructor position that will support course delivery, course maintenance, and provide technical expertise to the development of new learning solutions associated with the assigned College Branch’s focus areas.  The position will instruct the NGC GEOINT Curriculum via multiple delivery methods (classroom, blended, synchronous/asynchronous online, video, and/or performance support).

Responsibilities

Duties:

  • A Mid-level Geospatial Analysis SME shall be able to build upon the knowledge taught at the introductory GEOINT Tradecraft learning level (1000), in order to effectively handle fundamental (2000) GEOINT Tradecraft learning level tasks.
  • At this level the SME shall have a thorough understanding of the concepts and skills related to their content area(s) and can apply these skills in routine and nonroutine situations.
  • They shall be able to apply tradecraft skills through problem-based exercises culminating in exams.
  • They shall demonstrate solid tradecraft skills and an understanding of how their tradecraft contributes to addressing key intelligence questions. 
  • A Mid-Level SME is primarily focused on providing support to Fundamental (2000) GEOINT Tradecraft Learning Level courses, with a secondary focus on Intermediate (3000) GEONT Tradecraft Learning Level courses, both levels within the Geospatial Analysis content area.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing expertise in the concepts and applications of Geospatial Analysis tradecraft, methodology, and technology.

Desired Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited (i.e., regional, national, or institutional) academic institution, related to their assigned area of expertise (i.e., Geospatial Info Systems, Signals Intelligence, and GIS Skill Application).
  • Department of Defense (DoD) Basic Instructor Certification
